I’ve talked to Tiffen and would agree with Tom. At Cinegear 2024, they mentioned a “future” where it will be adapted to older sleds like GPI and XCS but since the control box is part of the M2, they have to design the external version. If it happens, I would wager it will be a year, maybe year and a half after the release of the M2 VOLT3.

@Billy Venturelli yeah, for sure. Mine does the same and I would assume a lot of T1 heads are the same. There are plenty of ops that make it work without my brackets but once you zero in everything (pre camera) it makes the rest of the setup, a breeze ☺️

Not to be a salesman 😅 but the T1 is a bit finicky to zero in the sled balance. I make a head bracket that helps zero in the overall sled balance (before adding camera). Check out this LINK:

It’s a TALL camera so you have to use the basic CSS plate or something equivalent and strip almost all of the cage. That’s not much of a problem when the camera lives in the ring for the whole shoot but if you’re going Steadi-to-Sticks then you’ll have to spend quite a bit of time swapping back on the top handle, monitor, and any other AKS…
